Similar to the history of the former publishing building and the neighbouring press district with large publishing and press houses of Hamburg which are clearly visible from the hotel, the interior design of the Ruby Lotti is based on “Reportage and Tabloid Journalism” of the 1950s and 1960s as well as on newspaper printing of that time in addition to current photography.
