Gynaecologic Oncology - first place in breast cancer

Gynaecologic oncology includes neoplasms of the ovaries and fallopian tubes (ovarian and tubal carcinoma), uterus (endometrial cancer) of the cervix (cervical cancer) and the outer genitals (vulva, vaginal carcinoma). The tumours are surgically removed and often combined with medication and / or radio-oncological (radiotherapy) treatment and always tailored to the patient's treatment strategy individually.

Dr Sabine Keim and her team always stand by their patients and their wishes are always in the centre of the planning. Especially in the treatment of cancer patients  there is always a network of experienced specialists whose platform is a weekly tumour conference.

The working area of senology extends from the biology, physiology and anatomy of the breast up to the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the breast tissue and aftercare and disease prevention in breast cancer. In daily clinical work, gynaecological oncologists, plastic surgeons, hemato-oncologists, pathologists and radiation oncologists, psycho-oncologists and social workers, nursing and physical therapists work hand in hand.

Thanks to the many medical facilities and tumour-specific therapeutic approaches (personalised tumour therapy), breast cancer can be cured in most cases today. Regular checkups are important, self-examination of your own breast under guidance is a contribution you can make to your personal health. Dr Sabine Keim lectures regularly, is co-author of several chapters on the subject of breast cancer and is a member of national and international forums that specialise in the complex treatment of breast cancer. She is available to discuss your questions in confidence.

Urogynaecology - incontinence is not uncommon!
