About Prof. Dr Christian Breymann MD
Prof. Breymann, Obstetrics & Perinatal Medicine, GGS Zurich/Switzerland
Gynecologist Prof Dr Christian Breymann MD is a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics, Co-Head of the Seefeld Gynaecology and Obstetrics Centre (GGS), and founder of the Institute for Prenatal Diagnostics, Perinatal Consultation, and Obstetrics in Zürich, Switzerland.
In addition to providing consultation on pregnancies, baby delivery, and childbirth particularly in the field of prenatal diagnosis and risk obstetrics, Dr Breymann also carries out surgical interventions – mainly in cases of infertility or recurrent miscarriages.
Gynecologist Dr Breymann in Zurich founded the Specialist Network for Perinatal Medicine
The Zürich Perinatal Institute was founded by Dr Breymann in 2013. The primary goal is the professional consultation and care of pregnancies and childbirth – both for patients and medical colleagues, especially when it comes to complex issues and problems. The institute features a network of specialists in perinatal medicine, thereby ensuring the best possible care of pregnant women.
Dr Breymann and his team attach great importance to comprehensive, patient-centred care in all situations. For Dr Breymann, aftercare following illness or pregnancy is particularly important.
Comprehensive Care of Pregnancy and Baby Delivery – Also in Risky Cases!
Perinatal medicine and foeto–maternal medicine are the special areas of Dr Breymann. In this field of obstetrics, he deals with patients before, during and after pregnancy. In his practice, he advises patients trying to conceive on how to prepare for their impending pregnancy e.g. through vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. Dr Breymann can also help in cases of infertility. Dr Breymann always provides his patients with up-to-date care and consultation throughout the course of their pregnancies (normal or high-risk). He is able to perform all necessary investigations such as ultrasounds, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and genetic tests. If desired, you can observe the progress of your pregnancy via 3D or 4D ultrasound.
In the case of special questions related to pregnancy and birth (e.g. diabetes, coagulation disorders or complications from previous pregnancies), we will be happy to provide you with comprehensive consultation. For over two decades, Dr Breymann has been supervising births. If necessary or desired, he is able to perform Caesarean sections (using the NESA technique). Especially when it comes to high-risk pregnancies or high-risk obstetric surgery, with Dr Breymann, you are in the right hands. The specialists place great value on personal care in which the focus is on the patient.
Specialist for Women with Iron Deficiency
When it comes to iron deficiency in women, Dr Breymann is a renowned specialist. He was instrumental in developing treatment guidelines (in Switzerland and internationally) for women with iron deficiencies.
If surgical intervention is required, Dr Breymann works closely with the Hirslanden Clinic, among others.
